Mochi Taste Test

Posted in Studio Experiments, Taste Test Thursday by michelleaebertz on June 12, 2008

Bite size icecream, no utensils needed. The hardest part really is deciding which brand is right for you!

It’s true, green tea mochi may be visually off-putting to those who have not tried it. But it’s really one of my favorite summertime treats. Bite size, so they have minimal post-snack guilt, mochi is the perfect summertime treat.

I journeyed all the way to the Korean grocery store on 32nd street before work today to prepare this taste test. We tasted both Choripdong and Mikawaya brands. The Mikawaya won because of it’s texture and ice cream to rice cake ratio, though we all liked the ice cream tase of Choripdong better. All in all it was a tough decision, which meant more icecream for all of us!
