StumbleUpon is one of the best Firefox add-ons ever.  For one, it helps with extreme bordeom.  For another, it is an amazing source for inspiration! How? Well, it is a button located in your toolbar, and when that bordeom hits, you click and get a completly random website.  However, it is not as completely random as you might think.

When you install this super add-on, you are directed to the StumbleUpon website, where it is then you choose the topics that interest you.  Now there are 10+ sections with all different interests from paranormal, to politics, to cats (and dogs too!).  Personally, my interests include Graphic Design (duh!), humor, and games.

When bordeom strikes me, I click the spiffy button and a random website comes up with a topic of my liking.  This is great for inspiration when a graphic design website pops up, such as You might stumble upon an awesome photo, or be given a website stocked full of tutorials such as PSHero.  These are all recommended sites, and you can also recommend sites that interest you.

What is also pretty cool about StumbleUpon, is that you can rate the website you have been randomly given.  You can give it a “thumbs up” if you like it, and you will get more sites like it.  You can give it a “thumbs down” if you don’t like it, never want to see it again, or have seen it before.  By doing this, it offers more specifications of your interests.

It is addicting and there are endless of websites out there for someone to find.  The more topics you choose, the more variety of websites there are.  Try it!  It’s a lot of fun!

Happy stumbling!
